Wunderbar

I sit here and it looks a bit gloomy out there does it not? Well, this is England after all and October and of course quite expected. Oh, let me go forth and spread the love and kudos to Anna, Jo, Shilpa, Dawn, Russell, Amanda and Kerry for stopping by on my post yesterday, it's all rather splendid when you stop by to comment, love, share, like and of course take the time to read my musings.

So much to choose

in the panoply of life.

Select one for now.

Today, I shall let my thoughts drift back to when I started to explore all those wonderful opportunities to study in the realm of healings, readings and more besides. I do recall looking at all those opportunities with eyes agog on stalks of burgeoning curiosity. I, being a typical Gemini bursts forth into a gluttonous spree of spending to take on as much of this knowledge as I could.

When I look back I do acclaim my ardour but not so much my impulsiveness. It is a wiser course to take your time, absorb the information and then go forth to the next one. I, do of course know this but well, let's just say after 54 years upon this planet the process of change in this regard is somewhat unlikely but at least I'm aware of the map, even though I'm likely to take a circuitous route to arrive at my very own terminus.

Ergo, my advice to anyone looking at an array of courses, information, workshops is to focus your intent onto one topic, perhaps two and stick with that until its completion. It wont be quite so overwhelming and the knowledge has an easier journey along the river of learning into your data repository nestling deep within your brain. When that's done, then by all means find the next theme that whistles to you for attention and you'll save yourself some money too.

Of course, I don't this to myself. I am somewhat of a flibbertigibbet with learning and can throw myself into something before veering off a completely new tangent. I'm currently exploring those nascent steps into the German language and there are quite a few similarities with certain words and some of course that are wildly different. Banhoff is a train station apparently and I can't quite see the likeness to English in this example. However, park in German is well, er Park, market is markt and in those instances you can work things out.

I did begin an Italian course on Duolingo until I got completely baffled by all the masculine and feminine use of words and I am going back to that in tiny little stages. Of course, I've forgotten lots but I figure a little bit each day will eventually hammer those nuggets into my consciousness.

Tomorrow, I have my writers' group online to run. If anyone reading this wants to explore their creative side, then please do drop me a line. It's very informal with a few writing exercises and an excuse to pour forth little gems of wonder from your imagination.

Right, I'd best take my attention to the various mosaics of obligation and will wish you all a splendid day. Remember, keep reading.

Things to be grateful for today:

  1. A few more words of German to add to my repertoire

  2. Watched a fine film called Legends of the Fall

  3. Getting a few unexpected likes on an Instagram post
