What's in a reading?

Hello dear friends and hark, I do see the Sun up this morning so a perfect fillip to this wonderful morning. Let's start by spreading the love and kudos to Anna, Jo and Shilpa for taking the time to read, comment, like, love and share. So wonderful to have you absorbing my thoughts of the day.

I'm drawn today to those curious little fellows called Tarot Cards. Until a few years ago I'd never had a reading at all and it was back in 2014/15 that I embarked on this journey which I never expected. It was at either my first or second Psychic fair where I took my first reading and the chap got rather excited about me being a master number (11) and telling me I'm an old soul who would go down the healing route.

At the time I shrugged my shoulders and thought, hmm, yes whatever. Time proved him to be quite correct though. I guess a year later or so I began my reiki journey and whilst that was beginning I thought I'd pop along to a place called the MSDC as they'd put a few posts out about psychic development mornings and thought oh well, why not. They'll probably find out I'm as intuitive as a lump of concrete.

If you'd have told me that I'd be doing readings professionally a few years later I'd have thought you quite barmy. However, here I am doing just that and I guess the question is what exactly does a reading entail? A reading for me is a form of guidance. Forgive me whilst I stray away from the stereotype of predictions and getting into the typical guise of a fortune teller. For me, this is an image of times gone by and tomfoolery and personally I see card readings as giving you advice, pure and simple.

There are several forms of ways of doing this. Tarot, Runes and oracle cards are the prime movers for me. I'd say most of my readings are done via Tarot and they usually are pretty accurate and sometimes tell us what we don't wish to hear and my task as a reader then is to look for the positives. After all, if we're given a question with no chance of an answer, what's the point. Every problem has a solution somewhere and for me that's where a good reading can take place.

It takes time to learn this craft but everyone of us has this gift inside of us but of course we're told it's all nonsense and a bit silly. I've learnt that there is actually something to all of this and if you're curious why not find out for yourself. Give a reading a try either with myself or someone close by. You might just surprise yourself.

On that note I shall end and remember keep reading.

Things to be grateful for.

  1. Preparing for teaching Reiki Master/Teacher this weekend.

  2. Watching a deep film called Prisoners.

  3. For all my readers and followers.
