Those healing and creative hands

Greetings all and first up let's say thank you to Anna, Shilpa, Lynda, Dawn, Neil, Jo and Mary(LinkedIn) for popping along for my previous blog post and sharing your likes, loves, comments and shares. It's much appreciated and it gives me that spark to come along to keep making content for you all.

I'm reflecting and chilling today after an awesome day of teaching Reiki yesterday. It was so wonderful to introduce some new people to this amazing method of self healing and enlightenment and I'm sure they will use it to tremendous benefit in their lives. It's interesting to note that when Mikao Usui first began his journey, his method focused primarily upon the self. The healing 'others' aspect was an offshoot of his original practice. It's helpful for us to remember that.

I know a few who read my blog practice Reiki or some form of healing modality themselves and I'm sure you all appreciate just how natural it is too tap into our own golden light. I do hope that as more time elapses we all can tap into this reserve. It is a beautiful energy that is open to all of us not just a few and certainly not elitist or anything like that. Let's open up Reiki to the masses and bring in a real positive change where it's not seen as a bit cuckoo but a perfectly natural thing to do.

On that note, let's now go to the complete opposite end of the spectrum. I espied an opportunity to submit a short story on the realm of vampirism. Now in years gone by I would have penned a tale in the vein of blood, guts and probably a trip back to gothic horror or even graphic horror. Once I had a story published about a cybernetic demonic vampire that went down rather well as I recall. https://www.amazon.com/Morpheus-Tales-Undead-Special-Issue-ebook/dp/B007U6JJL8 Please leave well alone if you are of a nervous disposition and it's available on Amazon in the US by the looks of things.

That was quite a while ago though and for this challenge I shall steer away from that side and instead look for an alternative form of the familiar vampire tale. The guidelines do state they are looking for something different and I have the vague notion of a story coming together that I will put together upon the morrow and submit it to the winds.

I shall leave you all now and do enjoy the rest of your week in whatever way is right for you. Adieu everyone and keep reading :)
