Greetings all and first things first it’s time to say thank you to Anna, Jo, Shilpa, Roni, Dawn and Dianne for readings and commenting/liking/loving and sharing my musings. It’s refreshing with so many memes out there and fine pictures that some do take the time to read my posts. It’s ironic that pieces that take a bit longer to craft don’t get anywhere near the attention as something you can knock up in less than a minute. It’s an observation about today’s instant society when you think about it.
It’s interesting as a similar line of discussion came up during lunch at the Angelic Reiki workshop I’m running this weekend. We spoke about how if people don’t respond instantly to text messages that you can be told off about it. What happened to patience everyone? Think back to the days before mobiles and internet, yes I’m old enough to remember these halcyon days. Back then you’d actually pick up the phone and actually speak to another human on the end of the line. Another thing that people would do is to get a pen and paper, write words down, find an envelope and send forth your missive.
These days such actions would be seen as somewhat antediluvian and almost laughable. Do you remember those old SMASH adverts with the aliens guffawing at us using spuds. I fancy that is how those who are glued to the technical world view our old world. However, they are missing something methinks. I know quite a few of my readers are from that time and it certainly didn’t do us any harm. Sometimes progress isn’t actually progress when you think about it.
A lady also spoke of how kisses in a message are used as a form of currency. She said, for example if you’re happy with someone you’d get several x’s, however, if that person annoys you then the x’s go down until there aren’t any x’s at all. It’s all a pity really isn’t it that humans act in this way? X is from the old days and signifies a gift and we should embrace that aspect rather than use it like a form of emotional weaponry. So to all you reading this, use those x’s with gay abandon and the more the better. Express that love and if someone upsets you, so what. Keep pumping out the love everyone and not the negativity that will come when you get peeved because ultimately you’re only hurting yourself as well as the one you might be upset with. Or maybe, I’m totally wrong and a naïve twit, after all, it’s just one persons view, but I reckon life would be so much nicer.
Today has been a magical day with Angelic Reiki. The energy is amazing and the people attending have brought no agendas and just magical zest to the workshop. I’m so blessed to be able to offer this as well as Usui Reiki and it’s great to see the effects working with the angels has. Blessings to all of you.
