Reiki vibes and catching up

Writer's picture: Gary HewittGary Hewitt

Greetings all and thank you to Anna, Shilpa, Dianne, Louise and Mary (Linked In) for taking the time to read and comment/like/love/sharing my last post. As always it's nice to be able to see my thoughts garnering a few reads and feedback.

What thoughts come to my mind on this day which was rather pleasant? I will surrender to those magical vibes which I've been blessed with over the weekend as I had the pleasure of working with some beautiful Reiki energy. It is so refreshing to see the energy making a tangible difference to people and I know quite a few of those who do read my post either work with that energy themselves or harness healing magic in their own way. Truly, it is such a pleasure to bring it forward.

Today I also met up with somebody I used to train with karate and her super talented daughter. They both made it to black belt and we reminisced over the good old days as well as looking forward to an inspiring future. I often get a bit flabbergasted when I think back to when I last saw a little girl training only to be greeted by a young lady who's well on her way to a bright future. It's times like this that you realise that those years do pass by so swiftly and it brings it home how we all age little by little.

I also met one of our lovely development team members who was taking part in a course at the Shakra Centre through healing with crystals. She thoroughly enjoyed it and it's so nice to see her progressing in her own way to fabulous new insights.

This just reminds me and all of us to really embrace the present moment and enjoy those special times. I know many of us blink and find that a year, two years, decades and more elapse so swiftly. So much of our existence is defined by where we work and what we do. I do feel it's a shame that we may be thought of as the roles we take on in life rather than who we truly are. For example Bill the butcher, Sally the florist, Tim the taxi driver and Lorraine the baker. We are so much more than that.

My thoughts will turn to an upcoming rune course, those lovely people who come to development (what shall I conjure up?) and getting that writing flowing too. I shall end with an attempt at a poetic tale, do let me know if you think it works or not as the case may be and it's straight off the top of my head in the present moment. Ok muse, over too you and no editing allowed, straight off the keyboard...

I saw this fellow once

Sinking a broken string

For the music brokered silence

In jet black voices

He looked out from the stage

Saw jaundiced eyes glare back

Hissing when he rose

Then coughed in ale choirs

He cast down one cold guitar

Invoked his a cappella

For a moment the mob sighed

Beheld his golden voice

Then one voice jeered, said go home

Whilst his friends did agree

To hush down pyrite songs

Disappeared in endless vapours

Yet the singer persisted

Through the drunkards hue

And then the amazing gift

Of a solitary clap

How the mob did howl

To a blue hearted knave

Who acclaimed the talent

Standing before her

The robin rebel clapped again

Cheered and joined in too

The virus then claimed three

Soon to four, five, then twenty

The light ahead grew ever bright

Haters growled in deaf murmurs

The singer bowed with all his worth

Acclaim, acclaim the audience roared

He left the stage with quite a grin

A lady bowed, offered him a rose

Accepted gladly gave his name

Acquiesced to a husky corner

The symphony of love did win through

Left the bar with arms entwined

Thought of what came next

A lunar light upon them both

One day, perhaps he'd encore

Bring through a new key

Only this time

With a new guitar
