Hello dear friends and I see a nice bright start to the day which is most welcome. Anyway, before I go forth let me spread the love and kudos to Anna, Shilpa, Jo, Mary, Russell, Lynda, DeafE (twitter) and Kerry for stopping by and reading, liking, loving, commenting and sharing my previous post(s). It's much appreciated and I'm delighted you find something to take up a few moments of your time.
Let's start with a Haiku shall well?
When the joints protest
Invite in the healing light
To come and assist.
Let's embark on some time travelling shall we? Let me float back to around 2012 when I seem to recall the Mayan prophecy speaking about the end of the world. Well, perhaps not the end of the world I resided in but I was training pretty hard in karate. After a tough session at fight club on a Saturday I returned home and whilst still in my gi(karate uniform) traipsed upstairs to hear a set of keys in my pocket. Well that's quite a trick as there are no pockets in these gis and I realised the sound of keys was actually my knees clicking on each step.
This is the one problem with karate and any high impact marital art/sport as it isn't particularly kind on the joints. You can get super fit and strong but alas our bodies aren't really built for the leaping around and grinding that's needed to push yourself to be better. Don't get me wrong, I loved those days and the camaraderie and training but there's no doubt about it, it does affect those joints of ours.
So what's that got to do with Reiki? Well, fast forward to when I learnt Reiki and had this ache in my knees. I channelled the energy into that part of my body and believe me the pain abated and there's no doubt in my mind it assisted me greatly. These days, I don't get the pain so much there and I'm so grateful that I can call on this healing to give me some succour. For all those Reiki practitioners out there, never forget that you can call on this light to help you when those moments arise. For sure it wont take away all the pain but it will assist, even if just a little bit although I often find it can be pretty effective.
Before I end, I've been watching a couple of vlogs (Niki Proshin and INSIDE RUSSIA) on YouTube about a couple of chaps who've managed to get out of Russia in these crazy times. It's fascinating to hear their accounts of daily life and they are just ordinary people like you and me. It's the people who get trampled when we have despotism and horrid people at the helm and just hold everyone back. I pray for more peaceful times and to step back from this madness.
That's it for today. Whatever you do have a wonderful time and remember keep reading.
Things to be grateful for.
Getting my manuals for the course I'm running at the weekend
