Reaching out

Writer's picture: Gary HewittGary Hewitt

Greetings dear friends. Well I never, I look out this morning to see the Sun shining quite nicely. A change from the monochrome and pray let is continue. First up though let's express some love, gratitude and kudos to Anna, Jo, Shilpa and Neil for stopping by on my post yesterday and all the shares, likes, loves and comments.

Today my thoughts turn to two different directions with the term reaching out. The first to me is where we reach out to pull ourselves forward. This is the action of not staying still and moving our bodies and energy away from stagnation into something more positive and direct. I know only too well how easy it is just to sit still, procrastinate and wait for things to happen. It's often the case that this state of inertia fails to move us in any direction at all and instead lump us in apathy and stagnation.

In this reality, it's wise to look around us and see what we can do to move things. It's so easy just to sit back and relax, and don't get me wrong, relaxation and taking yourself away from it all is quite useful from time to time but we can't stay there. Imagine your energy like water, if it flows it's like a river but sitting still it becomes a dirty old pond with little to no life in there except all the toxic stuff we'd rather not have around. Same with our bodies and energy, we have to unblock the obstacles and get into flow.

The other term is where we reach out to help others. I must confess that I see so many of us struggling right now and we can all reach out in our own way to help. It can be a simple hello, taking note of a few things said where some of us are struggling or simply be a good old listening post. If we can offer practical help fine, but just offering that kindness is a priceless method of support too. If you can reach out and help and if you're struggling don't be afraid to reach out and ask for help as well.

So there we are, today's blog post complete except for our 3 things to be grateful for.

  1. A lovely evening working with crystals in development last night

  2. A sumptuous sunny morning

  3. Getting the first part done in my very own Reiki manual

Have an awesome day and remember, keep reading.
