Hello dear friends. I'm typing away pondering on what to scribe and my thoughts turn to the previous evening but first of all let me send love and kudos to Anna, Jo, Shilpa and Russell for commenting, liking, loving and sharing my previous post(s). Thank you as always for stopping by and it means a lot.
Our imagination. It's a wonderful thing we can all use and yet in these days when everything is done for us, it's growth has become shall we say somewhat stunted. What a pity. Let's cast our minds back to those days when we'd play around at school and being asked to write a story or draw a picture. You've not got much to help you except perhaps a prompt or an image to work from. However, from nowhere your creative spark comes to life and before you sits your artistry. Now, if you're like me, you're drawing may be little more than a stick man but that's not the point. The point is that you've created something that wasn't there before.
We can look at the universe in a similar fashion. From nowhere the creator decided to explode the void into a panoply of chaos, sound, beauty, light, time, dimensions and everything else you could care to mention. Did our creator use imagination to make this all happen? Such questions stray far beyond my capabilities but it's an intriguing thought is it not?
Last night I used a set of cards in development that can be quite hard to read. Anna looked at the one she had to read and wasn't impressed by the design and I won't deny they are challenging. During the evening though, I hit on the idea of using our imagination to bring forth a card which didn't actually exist. What are you waffling on about I hear you ask? Surely, you need those cards to work with the imagery, messages and so forth. I won't deny that they certainly can help and there's some magnificent artwork we can use and where you can use them, they are the key to the door.
However, there are times when we look at one and think, good lord, what am I to do with this? The message eludes me and well, to be honest, I might not particularly like the design and that may well affect how we read it. In this rare instance, why not visualise a card of your own choosing.
Remember that imagination of yours, well, I have to tell you it's an incredibly powerful tool. Why not use it in reading a card, pretend you have your own set of the most perfect cards and use your spark to bring forward a message. Anna found that when she did this the message came straight away and she delivered a powerful message delivered with a hint of cheekiness. Absolutely perfect and a good tool for Anna and frankly all of us when we might get stumped.
Speaking of being stumped I did spend a bit of a frustrating afternoon trying to get to grips with Wordpress. This blog on Wix is kind of nice, it works well but I know Wordpress looks that bit more professional. However, after much scratching of my bonce I had to admit defeat. It just isn't that user friendly in my opinion and I just want to write, not worry about struggling where to change the designs I wish to use. Confused...well, let's just say I was perfectly addled by the experience.
I'm also bringing images onto Pinterest. It's quite a nifty site, I've had it for a while now but couldn't see much point in it. However, for bloggers it is apparently quite a useful application, now I just have to work out how to make the best of it in these l-plate stages.
That will do for today my friends and always remember keep reading.
