Greetings all and once again a huge thank you to both Anna and Lisa for commenting and liking/loving my post from yesterday. I scraped 12 views so far and not bad as I put up a gif rather than a picture which unfortunately left rather a dull picture to look at. I know many of us are drawn to a picture as opposed to the words so to get double figures makes me rather happy. Also, a huge thank you to you both for sharing my post, it is much appreciated and feel free to share anything you like the look of.
Well, what you wonder is the meaning of my title today. I am a rather haphazard creature with my thoughts and actions at times and this relays to the pc too. I thought today I would strive to tidy up the desktop and what an onerous task this was. I'm sure like many, when something comes in I save it to the desktop and then forget about it. Then I realise with some alarm that it's a bit of a discordant mess when the time comes to reorganise a real smorgasbord of chaos.
It did take me a while but thankfully it's looking far more orderly now with a mere 7 icons on the desktop as to well, the infinite number before. New folders were crafted and squirreled away into a new recess and they are full of files and what nots from recent and antediluvian eras. Of course, at some point I will trawl through these and look to what is worthy of keeping and discarding. As for the things I've written in the past...Oh my goodness, there's a lot of stuff there to ponder over. Some of it may be worthy of submitting others are mere perambulations of my muse. What to keep I cry!
I look to the disturbances out in the Ukraine and think it's all a bit too much sabre rattling and intimidation from all sides. Now it's easy to think of Russia as the villain in all of this and I'm certainly no fan of their blatant aggression but we must also try to think like they would. Let's imagine in an alternate reality that one day Ireland decided to become part of the old Soviet Union. As a result they invite Russia to protect them from British and American aggression. Of course we would be rather upset at that position and that unfortunately is how they see the Ukraine who insist on joining NATO.
I'm in no way condoning what Russia are doing by the way, it is very sinister but it helps to get inside what they are thinking. I just feel sorry for the ordinary people like you and me sitting in Russia right now who are probably thinking what are we doing talking about invading. Alas, if they voice their opinion they will probably be taken somewhere quiet and never be heard again. You just wish that common sense would prevail over our so called wise leaders and that we can all just live in harmony. We need to with huge challenges coming mankind's way in the decades to come.
Anyway, enough about the gloom and doom and I did see Anna say she likes chocolate for breakfast on a lovely comment, so Anna, the following daft poem is dedicated to you :D So, for those who do like and comment, pop me a word or two and just maybe I'll craft a story or a poem or something connected to that.
When I see a cereal
I'd like something more corporeal
Not a healthy nut or too
I can't be bothered with that to do
Don't you offer me dull fresh fruit
For my tastebuds that just doesn't suit
And if offer me some muesli
I'll blow you back a raspberry
I require a bit of decadence
For I dine in opulence
What I like will make me merry
Especially when it's from Cadbury
So keep your healthy stuff to yourself
For that would barely fill an elf
Breakfast will make me salivate
When I see a bar of chocolate.
Thank you all once again and do feel free to share and comment if this has been of some delight to you.
