Let those thoughts transform

Greetings all and it's a cloudy vista I gaze out on this morning but I for one am not at all disturbed by that fact. It's quite a relief from the heat and I'm quite enjoying it. Well, without further ado let me send out love and kudos to Marion, Anna, Jo, Dan, Rae, Shilpa and anyone else who took the time to have a gander. Thanks for stopping by on my previous post and loving, liking, commenting and sharing. Love you all.

What comes to me today is to quieten those busy minds of ours. With humans the mind is a blessing but also a bit of a pest when it wants to be. It's a gift in that it allows us to bring forth our intellect and always adding to the repository of knowledge. The neurons within us allow us to create worlds through our imagination, have a good old discussion and to interact with our surroundings in a myriad of different ways.

And yet. Our minds can also allow us to be a bit daft really. They can take us away from what brings the joy in our hearts by the process of detachment, injustice, jealousy, paranoia, failure of expectation and so forth. Now on this planet there's rather a lot of us humans on there and that equates to a lot of minds all flowing in their own paths. That's a maze of egos all striving to be heard and climbing to the top of the mountain. Some of us are quite happy to potter along at a slow steady pace and others prefer the fast in your face approach. Ask yourself, would you like to be a gentle stream gently winding its way through the land or a roaring river tearing all up before it as it races to the ocean?

There is no right or wrong answer in my view. All I would say is to try not to cause others distress whilst finding your flow in life and follow your calling. Steer yourself away from those thoughts of smugness when you see someone falter. Remember too, there are many sides to a tale and don't always believe what others may tell you and listen to the wisdom deep inside. There are times when circumstances will upset you, especially the actions of others. If you can, find that ocean of forgiveness and move on lest you find yourself heading into a whirlpool of negativity.

When we step out of our thoughts we suddenly find the simplicity and beauty of life. Now I don't know about you but isn't that a place that's nice to visit? So when those thoughts overwhelm you connect to you once more. Walk in nature, breathe and think of the ones you love and who love you. I can guarantee there will be a few and express that gratitude for having them in your life too. I certainly do for some very special people in mine.

Shall we finish with a haiku?

When our stress builds up

Let our minds take a wander

And simply connect

Adieu to you all and remember...keep reading.
