Let there be joy

Hello dear friends and it's with some delight that I espy a beautiful sunny day. This augurs well for I've a weekend of teaching Angelic Reiki so a bright morning is most welcome. On that note let's share the kudos and love to Anna, Shilpa, Jo and Russell for stopping by and liking, loving, sharing and commenting on my previous post. Thank you as always.

Pull away from fear

Light up those days with learning

With a dash of cheer

It was a pleasing day yesterday as I had the pleasure of two Reiki healings and also bumped into some familiar company to make the time speed by in a delightful way. The evening was spent preparing for the weekend and watching the England ladies doing well once again in the football. They are very talented indeed and onwards and upwards is certainly the way with them.

I do look to the media and goodness what a bunch of glum drunk lot they are. Now of course I'm not saying we need to turn a blind eye to the badness in the world, far from it but wouldn't it be nice to balance out the rotten with the good. Surely we ought to have a positive one for every bad one? It's a question of balance and not loading us all up with depression and fear, though I suspect that serves many quite well.

Society does tend to be a cynical, mistrustful place to be just now and it's not surprising in the way our leaders behave. The last few years we see nothing but lies, venal aspirations, downright corruption, aggression and arrogance being the virtues on show. It's our dear friend hubris once more flexing his mighty arms and so many are in his thrall. From Russia to Westminster and far beyond this chap is having a field day.

So how do we raise our own light within when all this junk is foisted upon us? Now, you could be a political activist but I fancy that really doesn't appeal to most of us. What I suggest is that you instead look to the highlights around you for you will unlikely find them on the news. Read a whimsical book, have a goodly walk in the autumnal breeze and why not watch some cat videos too for I guarantee they will raise a smile.

Keep your media intake limited and look to learn something. As you know I'm looking into German and Eins, Zwei, Dreis steps will lead me forward. I do hope I got the spelling right on one, two, three there but even if I didn't it doesn't really matter. It makes me focus on a spot of learning even if it's highly unlikely I'll ever go to Munich or Berlin. It's all about getting the grey matter working.

Well, there we are, a little perambulation into my thoughts today and remember everyone, keep reading.

Things to be grateful for.
