Keep on moving

Greetings all, I trust you are doing fabulously out there. I was pondering what to discuss today and my attention is drawn

to meditation.

Meditation is a great tool but beware that we don’t forsake our physical health as well. What we all need is that bit of balance between the too and then my friends we are onto a winner. I enjoy a good meditation as much as the next person but what I have found works really well for me is Qi Gong.

I am still very much in my neophyte stage with this system but when you do it well you can feel the energy running through you as well as getting into a meditative state with many of the exercises. Always remember, the human body is geared for movement and a sedentary existence does not bode well for our longevity.

Of course we can go to more extreme physicality and for several years I trained diligently at karate. I enjoyed it immensely at the time but in my case it took a toll on the old joints and limbs despite the fact that I was also extremely fit. Thankfully, for me, Qi Gong is much softer and yet you still get a good work out, but you’re not quite as aware of it as you are with karate.

I also wake up my energy system with qi gong when working with Reiki or any other healing modality that I do. It really does seem to amplify the connection quite significantly. I do rather recommend it.

Does that mean I’m saying ease up on the meditation. Absolutely not. Meditation is a brilliant method of finding your own sense of place and also a fantastic healing tool in its own right. With meditation you can get the most wonderful clear sighted insights and certainly shift physical and emotional discomfiture.

What is most beneficial is a fusion between the too. I am a firm believer in mind, body, spirit all working together. The mind can be worked with our education, eg, learning a course. The body with physical activity, eg qi gong and the spirit with meditation. That is obviously just a simple triumvirate illustrated there and of course we can change that or add to that as we see fit.

So a short post today but do find the harmony in your body as well as your mind and spirit. Have a wonderful week everyone and much love to all of you.
