Go eat a muffin!

Hello everyone and first as always let me say a huge thank you to my paragons of support for liking and commenting upon my post. So massive good vibes to Fabiola, Shilpa, Joanne and of course Anna. Thank you and as always if you find the content enjoyable please hit that share button so we might just grow those viewing figures to a mighty twenty.

No doubt some of you are thinking, Gary, you are on a good food quest so why would you tell us to eat muffins! Well, I discovered that today is national muffin day and as I was struggling for a suitable title, let us celebrate the humble muffin. I also like to send a surprise now and then and thinking about food has given me an idea for a poem which I'll knock up at the end of this post. Needless to say I'm certainly not advocating this style of life but you know me, I do like to have fun with words!

I glance outside to see and hear those Jovian winds howling around with intensity. I am grateful to be indoors and whilst it will be somewhat gusty still, it should abate by some degree. With the ever increasing cost of fuel, perhaps we ought to craft some cardboard wings, jump and float along the currents to our destination. Has anyone got Icarus's phone number?

Talking of fuel, seriously the price is getting silly is it not? The profiteering and loaded tax burdens placed on drivers is reprehensible and seriously needs looking at. Some might argue that the hour of the electric car is at hand but prohibitive costs are making that eventuality unrealistic. Also, should you need a new battery with an electric car the cost is far far more than your humble petrol one. I've heard costs of several thousand pounds which would wipe out your savings in fuel. It's such a shame that Sir Clive Sinclair never advanced his C5 way back in the day. Yes, it was a gimmick and unrealistic but the idea was a very good one that needed investment and serious research and development but it never really happened. I'm sure the vested interest in petrol companies and the like put paid to that.

I saw the cheapest electric car in the world is the Changli which is a mere $979 dollars or so. I'm pretty sure it's not roadworthy for the UK but could you imagine how this would seriously change the demographics for travel if this were to come to fruition over here. Cheap technology is there to be utilised but alas we are trapped in this prison of high prices and lack of innovation to hold us back. What a pity.

Anyway, enough of that, today has been a lovely positive day at the Shakra Centre where I had the privilege of delivering some nice guidance. I'm already looking forward to next weekend where it's looking particularly busy. I'm running my first in person meditation, development group and platform medium class. I'm really looking forward to it and working with some lovely familiar faces as well as some new ones. I'll be calling on those angels to help me along and to make it as nice and pleasant for all those who come along. If you'd like to know more then give us a shout but act quick as I know there's not many spaces left. Sunday I'm running another Reiki course and it feels me with joy to see so many now finding their own path on this magical journey.

Well, I'm almost at the end so let's think of a suitable gluttonous poem to play out. Much love to you all :)

That cake, it calls me close

With a sweet sugary dose

I open my mouth rather wide

A huge mouthful goes right inside

Hmm, such a fine glucose rush

As it turns to fatty mush

Let it find a home down there

As I eat with little care

Cake devoured, I need more

I heard there's plenty right next door

In the kitchen and sitting proud

A sprinkled doughnut calling very loud

A pack of six will come with me

Perfect neighbour for a cup of tea

What relief when teeth do work

Followed soon by gutsy burp

Dear oh dear such ghastly manners

Not a sight for poor heart scanners

I'm so bored, I crave more

I've heard there's chocolate in a drawer

Now you're talking, a velvet bar

The soft texture beyond the par

I know, I know this just won't do

Yet this feast is quite a coo

I'm soon rustling a crinkled bag

Crisps abound but I daren't flag

What a stomach blitz I've enjoyed

Digestive juices over employed

I shall end by seizing beer

Imbuing me with drunken cheer

Yes this life is so unhealthy

So be it, let's be care free.
