Hello dear friends as I scribe to you at a nice early hour. I see today ought to be cloudy with a bit of sun dotted with a breeze or two. On that note let's express gratitude to Anna, Jo, Shilpa, Tracy, Vanessa and Vicky for toddling on down to my previous post and thank you so much for liking, loving, sharing and commenting on my content. It's good to know that my musings are reaching out to a select few of you.
Today let's think of firsts. Think of the first time you did something, like learn to write, read, watch the first episode of Game of Thrones (there's a random one for you) and the first car you ever drove. I'll take my attention to the car and the first car I actually drove was a fun little Kia car that I took my initial driving lesson in. I cannot recall the name of it but whilst I did terrorise the saintly streets of Dulwich it did teach me the basics and had an incredible turning circle. My first car proper after passing would have been a Ford Escort and a trusty steed that served me well.
What was your first car? If you never learnt to drive, then think about what was the first car your partner, etc brought and what memories it holds for you. Were those first journeys on your own full of adventure or did they make you break out in a cold sweat and think about the joys of parking and reversing. It's interesting to explore those old days and see how you progress and that's really what I'm covering here. When we think back to those first steps and how they lead us to where we are now.
Let's look at Reiki now. Think about where I started from and how I've explored my own journey. I began from a completely clueless chap waving his arms around like a pocket windmill to someone who flows with the energy and doesn't think too much about the healing process. I just allow it to happen. Perhaps yours is similar or in a different tangent altogether.
I take my thoughts to the posts I put out there into the void. Yesterday, one of my posts on Instagram Reels suddenly took off and garnered me 5k views. The same story I put on Facebook got 11 views. Goodness, talk about crazy contrasts and how it all works is a deep hole of twisted confusion. There are countless tips out there on what you should be doing but to be honest, it's as clear as murky treacle and I'm sure I'm not alone. I find that rather than concerning myself about what looks at my content it's much more enthralling to go through the creative process.
Speaking of which, I began a Halloween tale yesterday incorporating houseplants. It's a potty piece of prose I'm working on and not really sure it will fit the bill of the place I'm sending it too but hey, let's see how it all goes. Again, the point is to enjoy the writing and have a giggle at horticultural horror. I wonder if there is such a genre, although I do seem to recall the Triffids and The Little Shop Of Horror featuring a very young Jack Nicholson if memory serves me well.
Well, that will do for today. Have a splendid Thursday and I shall catch my group tonight at 8pm for a bit of fun with some Law of Attraction work. Remember, keep reading and let's go to my thoughts of gratitude.
Initiating a horticultural horror tale
Getting a post on Instagram that almost caused a ripple
Finally watching Fight Club through to it's conclusion. Certainly worth viewing.
