Forgiveness

Greetings everyone and first up let's stir up that spirit of gratitude with a huge thank you to Jo, Jo, Ian, Anna, Lisa, Theresa, Louise, Fabiola and Shilpa for commenting/liking/loving on my post from yesterday and previously. If you could share my posts that'd be marvellous too, I still dream of 20 viewers, sigh, we are in a world where the meme is king and the thought of reading more than a paragraph is far too much effort except for you rockstars who support me :D

Well, what shall I witter on about today? I stumbled upon a fabulous video yesterday from someone I used to listen to quite a bit and his advice on forgiveness was very apt I thought. You see, many of us would say I forgive Joe Smith as an example. However, perhaps it would be wise to deviate from that train of thought. For taking that stance is to elevate ourselves to a position where we think ourselves as superior to Joe Smith. What is more appropriate is to take a slant to forgive ourselves, for maybe whatever Joe did triggered something deep within us.

It's quite a departure from conventional thought but thinking about it, that makes sense for then we can truly release what lies deep within. Plus it can also uncover those old ghosts called guilt which can cause a lot of damage to our well being if we let those thoughts fester. If you combine that with the poison of anger that continues to lie around, it's a combustible mix that truly doesn't serve.

It's not an easy process, and is something that needs to be looked at time after time until eventually that nugget goes. It's not a case of just saying I forgive myself, it goes far deeper than that. However, if we can take those first steps to start that healing journey, then that surely must be a good thing.

Wordle was a tricky beast this morning (Sorry Anna, you can skip to the next paragraph). My two opening gambits didn't yield too many clues but with a bit of word logic I managed to solve the devious little trickster in the 4th round. I still dream of a round in one lol.

Of course today is a day of alignment. I see 22/2/22 everywhere and even happy Twosday which is a great play on words, wish I came up with that one. I fancy there will be all sorts of fun energy about later and let's stir it all up and make some magic happen.

At least outside it's been a bit more pleasant and even the sun poked through. It's even shining now although there is still a hyperborean bite in the air, so do refrain from going outside in summery clothes unless you are into some kind of shock therapy. I do yearn for those longer days and thankfully soon they will be upon us. Time for a poem methinks, maybe something a little more deeper with a hint of gravitas today.

Taste freedom's air

A precious mercurial gift

We can live in expression

Of all what we would wish

Think of a white rose

Sitting alone, strong

Looks of envy from neighbours

Invite a greedy convolvulus

Soon, petals fall

For the parasite conquers

Looks for a new prize

Whilst a garden quails

Oh dearest pink light

Will you not shine this way?

Purge skull thoughts

Of vacant fascination

So think hard when you grouse

Of insignificant diadems

You wear each day

At least you can.
