Greetings all and first up thank you to Anna, Jo and Roni for taking the time to read and comment upon my post from yesterday. Much love to you all and it certainly is nice to see you lovely people make your presence felt.
Last evening was fabulous in our little development group and some impressive results from everyone concerned. The readings was top drawer and poor Anna had plenty to do when bonus cards flew out but the advice given was certainly very helpful and useful. Excellent work all round everyone both yesterday and Tuesday night.
What comes to my mind today is how to find our peace of mind. In our lives we can find that many different aspects can influence us in various methods. This can come through external factors such as those who we interact with, the environment we are within, the unexpected and also major decisions taken elsewhere which affect us all.
Then of course we have what happens internally. By this I mean aspects such as what we choose to do with our time, how we are looking after our bodies as well who we allow into our space. All of these factors and more all contribute to our state of mind which of course can fluctuate from a sense of joy to those darker thoughts which can pervade our energy field.
It is truly up to us how we work with our energy and mood. Now of course, there are many of us who are in a state of pain, grief, depression, stress and a whole host of endless afflictions which can have an adverse effect upon our general mental state and well being. It is rather daft to say oh, just smile and everything will be better. Whilst, attempting a smile or two might help a gnats it really isn't going to make any deep impression. In my humble opinion it'd be wiser to try to delve deeper to see what we can do internally within ourselves.
In essence, what can we do to push back against those aspects that don't serve our best interests. Meditation is an area that may certainly be of some use. It can put those choppy thoughts into a more calmer state and for those who practice this often it certainly does seem to be very helpful. Exercise, if possible of course, is another area where we can offload those old frustrations. I can recall when I used to train at karate how a great session of impact work would make those work frustrations disappear whilst producing copious amounts of sweat. Getting creative is another way, such as writing, art, pottery or a whole host of imaginative endeavours. It can extremely cathartic to put your angst into the creative circle and it doesn't matter how much talent you perceive yourself to have. What matters is you doing something just for you, even if the painting you do is a little stick man waving a flag. If it makes you feel just that little bit better, then why not?
Of course with pain it is that much harder, especially if it's persistent and refuses to go away. Clearly this would probably need the help of professionals if the above paragraph is of no use but I do believe that maybe some of the steps listed might help with a tincture of relief. It all helps I hope.
Well, I wasn't at all sure what I was to write about today and I trust these words have been of some use. Whatever you're called to do this weekend, enjoy as much as possible and I shall catch you all soon. Adieu :)
