Extra light

Greetings all and let's just say a lovely thank you to Anna, Shilpa, Louise, Jo, Jo, Fabiola and Michelle for your likes/loves/comments and shares. It makes it all the more worthwhile for me to whittle away some words for you all.

I gaze outside to see a tincture of light still there before the night falls upon us. Whilst the climate may not be as temperate as of late we do have the benefit of that little bit extra daylight. This is rather a boon to me as looking at the dark does make us feel that little bit more downbeat as opposed to that extra sparkle. This draws me to the element of colours which I wasn't quite expecting.

Now here's a thing. Many of us like to adorn ourselves in those dark colours don't we. Let us bedeck ourselves in black trying to look all mean and moody. I can recall in my younger days being into hard rock and for a while listened to iron maiden and the like and found myself in those dreary colours. I will have to say though that Queen were always my favourite source of music in case some of you are thinking I was into some blood drinking satanic cult! Believe me, you couldn't be further from the truth but at the time I quite enjoyed that old nonsense. Blame it on the susceptibility of youth.

However, I digress. I look about us now and see so many drawn to the cult of goths, witchy stuff, metal, emo, grunge etc and its all a bit depressing. I know because as you see from the previous paragraph I bought into all that. However, isn't it so much nicer to wear those brighter colours full of vibrancy as energy. For me black has the vim of a sleepy snail whereas bright yellow for example is akin to rocket fuel. Ask yourself, what light would you like to surround yourself in? Now I know, a lot of our clothes such as trousers will be black and so forth but try and chuck on a white shirt or a gold blouse. Switch it up and boost your energy with a bit of self colour therapy.

I remember when I run an angelic Reiki course and everyone came along in black. I thought someone had died! Needless to say, I did recommend that all came along the next day in much brighter colours and they didn't let me down. Let's choose light everyone.

Well, that's my musings for the day so let us end with another trip into the caverns of creativity. Ah, what's this here I wonder...oh yes a piece of old published Lovecraftian homage. It is a shade on the dark side so you may wish to click elsewhere if you're not too happy with a dash of horror. https://theweretraveler.wordpress.com/2014/01/20/homecoming-by-gary-hewitt/ (copy and paste into your browser if the link doesn't work)
