Eunice 1 Raconteur ni...1

Greetings all and before I go further just a huge thank you to Anna, Lisa and Mary for commenting/liking my last blog post. You guys are rock stars and please keep sharing the content so others may find their curiosity tickled to come along to this little abode of mine where you're all welcome to hang out.

Well, no surprise that today is all about wind. No, I am not referring to a bout of extreme flatulence but that rather ghastly weather out there. I was due to go to the centre today to offer my services but it was pretty evident that'd be a foolhardy thing to do with a red warning. I know there's been a few trees downed around here and the thought of playing Oak chase, Dodge the birch or Evading the Elms really didn't appeal to me. So I stayed in and just as well really.

It does make me think though about the intelligence of our employers out there. I heard a few angry drivers who were compelled to go on the road but their lords and masters and surely do we learn nothing? Red warnings aren't given out for the fun of it, when they say there's a danger to life and limb it's best we pay heed. However, we seem to be of the attitude oh, just get on with it and it'll be all right. Too many times the opposite is to be the case, and let's be honest, a day's delay or too in a delivery isn't going to kill us, however, a falling tree on a poor hard pressed driver may well end them.

Those who probably did stay at home would probably then get the old, well, x, y and z came in and they had further to travel than you. What's your excuse? Err, I have a brain and wish to see tomorrow and unlike those 3, I quite like living and I'm not going to pander to your guilt tribe style of management. It's the old adage of profit before health and the madness of capitalism. Ah, best I stop there lest I let my "red" side out but a bit of common sense wouldn't go amiss.

I've taken the opportunity today to have a bit of a rest out and to do a spot of reading. I've a few of those Soul and Spirit magazines gathering dust and thought I'd see if I can garner some wisdom from there. I'll be honest, there is a lot of what I would call padding but there is some interesting material to discover and I've elicited some new thoughts that were previously not there. Let us incorporate them into my etheric system of eternal wisdom...or not as the case may be.

I shall also think back to a lovely couple of nights at development this week. We had great fun with unicorn readings, fantasy meditations and a bit of Qi Gong for good measure. Speaking of which, I shall partake in my next session once I've dusted this latest piece off. My group may be bijou but I do love the work and faith they put into me, both past and present members. Sure, there may be other more experienced leaders out there but I just do my thing and whilst people want me to continue I'm more than happy to do so and on the whole I get a lot of positive feedback.

Well, it's almost time to end and ooh, let's do a fun little poem. Lisa commented about a panic with the kitchen yesterday...let's see what comes up in the next few minutes.

Wherever can they be

Is what will come to me

Are they near? Are they far?

In a van? Perhaps a car?

For they need to get a fitting

Right inside my kitchen.

I glance a look outside

And hope they're not behind.

For Eunice is gathering pace

Right outside my place.

Come on happy fitters

I want this done by dinner.

Upon my door a knock

Guess it's time to unlock

A burly man is standing there

Right ahead of a humble stair

I usher him inside

With all the goods now supplied

He gets his workmate in too

There's really quite a lot to do

Now Mrs Langford don't you fret

It'll be the best work yet

I retreat to watch TV

They'd best not upset worried me.

Bangs and clatter I did hear

But I won't yield to unfound fear

Then at last I hear a cry

"It's all done", I yield a sigh

I go right on in

They did good, it's a win

I'm quite chuffed I really am

I can make some strawberry jam

For the kitchen is all done

Now for some culinary fun

I wish those chaps all the best

They have earned a goodly rest.
