Greetings all and let me say thank you to Anna, Shilpa and Louise for your likes/loves/comments and shares of my previous post. It makes it all the more worthwhile for me to convey my thoughts to the my wonderful readers. As always, to those readers who prefer to remain silent, thank you to you as well and feel free to comment away too. Let's share the love.
Well, I must admit that today was rather sparkling in the sunshine. I hopped into the car this morning to take a sojourn to the Drs to pick up a repeat prescription only to discover that the medics had somehow digitally mislaid my communication. They had the temerity to suggest that I had perhaps forgotten to hit the send button on the e-mail but when I checked my sent box later it was apparent that I certainly did. It's no big deal though as I shall pick up the package upon the morning. I shall illustrate to them my e-mail on the phone as well methinks to prove I've not gone totally batty just yet.
What I did notice was the rather grimy demeanour of my blue automobile. I took it upon myself to take advantage of the clement current climate (I do love a bit of alliteration :) ) and assailed the car with cloth and cleansing materials. The result is the car looks just that little bit more glimmering and whilst not a new motor it has at least relieved the attire of an unloved antique look.
Last night's group was fabulous and so lovely to have Shilpa back with us and Jo managed to escape to join in with the party too and the energy was delightful. However, we did feel for poor Becky who had an unfortunate experience with sugar free butterscotch. Alas, overindulgence can hit the best of us and I've certainly been guilty of that in the past but all is well now for her. Of course, it's great source material for a poem which I shall craft together in just a moment or two.
Right, here goes the latest piece of worse verse!!!
There was a box of sweets
That made a tasty treat
The golden wrapper tempts
You know you can't relent
Pop one in your mouth
Globule heads due south
Hunger yearns for more
Go sate the empty core
Butterscotch so nice
The sweets go in at thrice
You're in a blissful state
And going quite a rate
Then the box is empty
You've eaten rather plenty
The tummy starts to quake
What noises does it make?
This is something new
You're feeling rather blue
The lesson of this tale
Indulgence is a fail
