Greetings all. As always let me say a huge thank you to those who took the time to read, love/like comment upon my page. So thank you to Anna, Lisa, Andrea, Fabiola and Shilpa and to those who took the time to share my post. It means a lot that you took the effort to do that :)

Well, what to remark upon today I wonder. Well, it's a fun little thing called Wordle. It's basically a word game where you have six attempts to try and work out their 5 letter word of the day. I do usually come up trumps but I did fail the other day at the word Caulk and I know I really ought to have worked that one out. However, imagine my surprise today when I managed to work it out in 3 attempts. I was most pleased as it's rather tricky to do that. I believe I got really lucky once and did it in 2 but most of the times it tends to be around the five guess mark. I do recommend you have a go, just type Wordle in the search bar and go to the NY times version and give it a go. There's a word every day so you won't spend hours and hours on it and should take but a few minutes of your time.
Today I was blessed enough to go to the centre where I managed to give my ministrations to a lovely lady who came for a reading. It's nice to be able to give assistance and the words delivered will hopefully give some clarity on the way forward. There's exciting times coming up as there's quite a lot of things going on in the Reiki front with courses, gatherings and and in person development/meditation session next week. We only have a few places left and if you want to know more do drop me a message and we shall take it from there.
I've just completed a nice Qi Gong set too and it feels really good to work with that magical energy. It is a lovely mindful movement meditation really and whilst some of it looks quite easy on the eye, you will discover that they do work your body quite hard. There's one set that works your sacrum and it looks like belly dancing to the uninitiated but this can be a killer to the legs as well as raising a smile or two. That's the thing with Qi Gong, some of the exercises are quite fun but also highly effective.
Anna, asked for a little story today so I think I shall go into a tiny tale. I need a prompt or two, so let's use cake box, insurance, pencil and walnuts. Oh well, here goes, right off the bat and no editing, and let's see how long it takes to craft a tale of silliness.
I glanced at my watch and ten to eight flashed back at me. I wiped a bead of sweat from my brow for soon the adjudicator would deign to visit my door. I eased the cake box from the sideboard and the weight was rather significant. Perhaps I'd put in just a bit too much mixture in and laid on too much icing. However, I'd heard that Harry Pett enjoyed a sweet feast.
Lemmy, my cat, looked up at the cake when I set it down onto the display table. I slid the lid and there before me lay my creation. A cake in pink icing with a blue moon smiling back at me. A bespectacled unicorn singing a stream of musical notes danced across the top and the words "Millington Fair 2022" beamed back along the bottom.
I almost leapt from my skin when the door bell rang to the tune of We are the Champions. I gathered my composure and found my best smile. My dainty fingers, pulled back the door and there in all his finery stood the austere form of Harry Pett.
"Mrs. Partridge, Mr. Pett." he grunted.
"Please do come in and my entry is right here in the dining room."
He breezed past and came to a halt right in the doorway. He delved into his pocket and flicked out a notepad and began to scribble feverish words. I struggled to get past. At last, he strode forward and I looked on in horror. Lemmy had leapt onto the cat and licked gladly at the unicorn's face. Paw prints had caused lunar devastation and Millington Fair had lost it's M.
"Lemmy, you naughty boy, what on Earth have you done?" I screamed.
He looked up at me with lazy eyes and to my despair he took a hearty bite from the unicorn's head and exposed a hairy walnut beneath. I was beside myself but the unexpected laughter from Mr. Pett somewhat startled me.
"Ah, not to worry Mrs. Partridge, I have two cats myself and they are always up to mischief. I've lost count of the amount of cakes I've ruined to those two rapscallions but I do enjoy their company. They are rather fun you know."
I cast Lemmy a baleful stare. I swear he smiled back at me in defiance.
"True Mr. Pett, but my entry is ruined."
He shook his head.
"Not necessarily, you see your entry does insure you against unexpected occurrences. I do believe feline vandalism falls into that category."
I brushed my hair back in some relief. Sweat mingled with the fresh blue icing and I dare say my head glistened with new decorations.
"True, but the deadline is today."
He shook his head.
"Yes, but I can invoke clause 3.1b to extend the deadline by 24 hours. That might just give you time to resolve your decoration issues."
"Really, that would be wonderful and thank you so much Mr. Pett."
He waved my gratitude with a haughty wave.
"Not at all Mrs. Partridge. However, I do recommend that you do keep it out of your cat's reach next time."
"Oh don't you worry about that. Lemmy over there is grounded."
He chuckled before leaving. I gathered Lemmy in my left hand and banished him outside. He gave me a curdled glare before disappearing into the raspberry patch. I marched back to the kitchen, seized my icing bag, decorations and plopped the cake upon the bench. Time to show Mr. Pett what unicorn and the moon really tasted like.
Time taken 20 minutes :D
