Bit grey out there aint it?

Hello everyone, well first up it's time for my attitude of gratitude so thank you to Anna, Louise, Shilpa, Melanie, Fabiola, Dawn and Sue for taking the time to read my latest post and commenting/liking/loving. Huge extra thank you to those who shared too, it really is appreciated.

I must confess the weather has been rather gloomy hasn't it? The sun is hiding above those lovely clouds and rather than sunshine we've had a drizzly experience to enjoy. Soon, those sunny days will be here for us to go and explore.

Oh for the joys of Wordle. Today I solved it in three and that's a rate thing. I shall savour the moment until the morrow.

There hasn't been much to report today in my humble existence but of course the news from the east continues to be grim. In war there are no victors, even if Putin does get his way he loses unless of course he considers himself to be forever etched in the annals of history and gains his place in a notorious hall of fame.

I was actually looking at another Putin today, a name of Rasputin. Interestingly both have links with St Petersburg. I believe Putin was born in St. Petersburg and Rasputin ended up living there. I also read about the lead singer of Boney M (Bobby Farrell) who of course sang Rasputin if you recall. He ended up passing away in 2010. Guess what city he died in...St. Petersburg. There's quite a bit of dark synchronicity going on by the looks of things and the original Rasputin appeared to have otherworldly powers. Legend says he was shot several times by the Bolsheviks before finally succumbing. Some said he was mad...now we're hearing Putin is mad. More similarities which keep cropping up.

What is the purpose I wonder. I cannot answer that for you but I fancy the more we delve the more strange truths will come to life. Has anyone else noticed any strange similarities just lately?

Well, I have just enjoyed some nice pancakes after a goodly feast of stir fried vegetables with some fish. I am rather sated and ready for a nice evening of development with some lovely people. Speaking of which, let's have a poem shall we, something daft is in order to try and raise a smile or two

I see before me a pan

It's got a goodly span

Let's pour in a mix

Time for a belly fix

Let's wait a minute or two

Then be time to chew

Chuck it on a plate

Go now salivate

Open mouth quite wide

Pancake goes inside

The stomach now suggests

Time to go digest

After all is said and done

Your appetite now none

Now go take a rest

Along with lemon zest
