Greetings all and I trust all is well with you as we have a day of all sorts with sun, rain, clouds and goodness knows what else. Anyway, before I venture to say any more let me wish gratitude to Anna, Shilpa, Sarah, Dawn and Jo for liking, sharing and loving my comments from before.
Today I trundle into my 54th year. It's a curious existence I've had and not quite like I imagined it would pan out. I always thought I'd follow a particular path into a certain life of employment, family and be part of what's expected. Didn't really pan out like that though. However, what's gone on before whilst formative of who I am now isn't really relevant to who I actually am now or who I will become.
Like the words you will be reading it passes into the past. We can't go back there. We may reminisce of those times, regret some of those past experiences and forget many of them too. Right now, it matters not, it's not you or any more. The past is a phantom who may haunt you in those shadows if you're not careful.
I dare say many would expect parties, libations, merriment and so forth upon a remembrance of the day I came into physical existence. Not at all. For me it's another day and I take delight in the fact that I've had a productive day in the editing suite for the story I've been working on and it's almost ready for submission. One more read through of those plot holes and lazy writing and it will be good to go. Then forget about it until 3 weeks after the September deadline to see if it's what they're looking for.
I've also fired up my Parlour People tale and got it spluttering into life. I'm restarting that completely as I can see a whole new avenue where it will go and yes, this is a novel I am working on. I'm using parts of my own foray into the spiritual world as well as a whole dollop of fanciful imagination. I did toy with the title Daughters of Lillith but don't really want any of the satanic connotations that some may get from that. It has nothing to do with devil worship or any of that tomfoolery but will be in a light hearted humorous tone. Well, that's what I'm aiming for.
Allied to that are several other creative endeavours I shall undertake including manuals, etc for the stuff that I do as well as rejigging Shadowfruit which is a fine read but needs toning down a lot. Good times.
Well it's time for me to take my leave of the PC as I have a reading to undertake for a lovely lady later. Until next I type, adieu and remember, keep reading.
