A splendid tonic

Greetings all and I trust you've all had a marvellous weekend. It's been a productive one for myself and before I go any further let me say thank you to Anna, Shilpa, Jo, Sarah and Mary (LinkedIn) for stopping by and expressing your love, likes, comments and shares for my previous post. It's very much appreciated and keep on reading everyone as it does inspire me to write a few more words each day.

My little tale on energy vampires has now swollen up to just over 3000 words and it's coming on rather nicely. The old litmus test for any piece of prose is to read it back to yourself and see if you are enjoying it or falling into a slow torpor. The first outcome is most desirable and the second may have you seriously considering the delete key or the wastepaper basket. Over the years there have been a few tales that have suddenly disappeared from existence at the flick of the deletion button.

I have also embarked upon the trail of lemon and cider vinegar in a glass. I did try cider vinegar with lemon juice in a bottle but the taste was not to be recommended. However, I have discerned that should you place two to three slices of lemon in and then mix in the cider vinegar the taste is rather pleasing and invigorating to the body. For a moment I did consider the word enervate which is rather a superb one but I did not quite grasp the correct meaning. Enervate means to reduce vitality or mental vigour. To imbibe such a mixture would certainly not be conducive to a vibrant way forward would it?

I do like it when certain words tiptoe on the edge of our knowledge but we don't quite grasp them. They are etheric little rascals offering the award of a fine vocabulary but woe betide you if you don't check them first. These fellows are most helpful though for through their presence and your inquisitiveness they will help your use of words ever so slowly expand. For sure there are plenty of words that I haven't used or am not aware of. My vocabulary is adequate but believe you me, there is plenty more scope for those little friends of mine to work with.

However, I'm sure some of you are wondering why on Earth am I putting lemon slices in water with vinegar. Surely, a heady pint of ale, a few glasses of wine or even a flooding of cola would be more pleasing. This may be true for many but I have to be aware that my weight needs to come down a bit more and also that I currently possess a fatty liver. I have discovered that the tonic above is rather good at ameliorating the effects that I wish to address. On top of that, it is actually a most splendid drink to invite into my corporeal form.

It may surprise you that I struggle to drink beer these days. I remember going to Camber, ordering a splendid pint of Belgian brew and not enjoying the experience of drinking it. What has happened to me? Before I would have quaffed such a delight with a few guzzles but now it took me about twenty minutes to do so and I felt rotten afterwards. Wine, I know I can drink quite easily and the same with coke but let's face facts here, they aren't any good for you are they?

I put it down to the Reiki. Think about it. Reiki is a restorative energy practice and if you suddenly pour in what amounts to poison then the Reiki will naturally look to offset the damage that you are doing. It's quite obvious when you think about and your spirit and body are basically saying, dear raconteur aren't you being rather obtuse with your intake of fuel?

I guess I would have to concur. Well, here we are at the end of today's message to you all. I wish you all a most delightful week and until next I type. Adieu

Oh, and by the way. If you can think of anyone who would enjoy these grains of wisdom please do send them along.

Much love to you all and err adieu once more after another 700 word plus post :)

Why would you need to lose weight you look fine to me. That is very interesting about Reiki - I have found it very hard to enjoy alcohol as if I feel my consciousness shifting I get frightened. I do enjoy an little drink at Xmas. Thank you for sharing.
