A poem

Writer's picture: Gary HewittGary Hewitt

Greetings all and today I think I shall just scribe a poem. Let us take a neuron dive, crack the nut of coherent thought into a cascade of a fanciful takeaway in succulent oblivion. Oh, sounds rather grandiose but hey, let's dress it up a tad at least. On that note let's say a huge thank you and share the love with Marion, Anna, Jo, Vanessa, Russell and Daniel.

As Sarabande plays

I look to leave

With an awkward gait

To well, nowhere

For in square space

Let's wrestle rain coats

Of countless coins

Who never did care

"Who are you?"

Asks a grim storm beak

Eager for worn souls

Of zero status

Ignore the plea

Abseil scorched winds

Of clustered giants

In lead rhythm

Sneak past guards

Enjoying last shows

Of just about er everyone

In one finale

Encore, Encore

See simian frenzies

For one milkshake

Of, think it's vanilla

Step the spirals

Up, down, who cares?

For all around

Lie drunken lifts

Stuffed to the gunnels

Of ubiquitous faults

Written off

For recycling clubs

In cold awareness

I leap

With no thought

Of soft landing

In neutron space

There's a layer

Where all is still

This shall be home.
